Spoilers about Jade and Sapphirus:

Jade and Sapphirus are actually angels that lost their wings and wished to return to heaven. And under the command of Seles, they were supposed to guide the two princes to become strong and eventually defeat the Aprasas seals that sealed Seles, hiding behind the fact that Alex and Platina has to fight the "battle of succession."

So after Alex and Platina's battle, and regardless of which prince winning and becoming king, both of them would betray the princes. The sanbou of the losing prince would unlock that prince from the prison and entice him in 'killing' the king of Naraku and getting the "Stone of God" that they needed to free Seles. In the process though, the losing prince gets wound while killing the King, and the Stone gets stolen back by one of the sanbou. Out of the two of them, Sapphirus was the one who hesitated more in ruining the princes' lives, yet they did it anyways. Jade was determined to have his wings returned to him, yet he hid the fact that he was regretting a little too.

The deal Sapphirus and Jade made with Seles was that, if they were to set him free, Seles would give them back their wings. Before leaving, if you choose to leave the wounded prince behind, your prince's sanbou would stay to talk to him. They told the prince that they were angels of heaven, and that they were willing to do all that just to get his wings back. Sapphirus said he wished to glide in the clear sky and feel the wind, even if it were just for once and just for a small moment. An angel without wings is like a bird without wings. Jade would leave Platina looking heartless, and Sapphirus left Alex with a "Sayonara... ouji..." Sapphirus asked Jade whether Jade would regret or not, and Sapphi grew to care a lot for Alex! Even Jade told him to shut up when Sapphi said to him, "You are hurt too, aren't you?" Sapphirus called himself weak, because he deceives people and hurt them. Even though Jade and Sapphi was willing to destroy the Abyss for that purpose, one could tell in half of their tone that he regretted betraying the princes.

However, Seles did not keep his words and ended up (if Alex disk) killing Sapphirus / (if Platina disk) Jade / (if princes ending) both. You still have a chance of reviving your sanbou if you pick the correct choice for the sanbou/ouji endings!

---------- Happiness Cage Spoilers (special thanks to Hana-chan and MastressAlita for the compiled information *bows*) This is just brief restate. If you would like a full extensive summary -SPOILERS HEAVY-, please refer to Hana-chan and Alita's text file.

The story that revolves around the sanbou-su is called "Call My Name", Sapphirus centric. Spoilers contained here is the fact that the real reason why Sapphirus had fallen was due to his female angel partner in Heaven. Every angel in heaven is supposed to love God as number one, and because she refused to be second place in Sapphirus' heart, she told Sapphirus to Fall for her sake - so that she can be happy, he is in her way. Feeling that he needed to protect the female angel, he accepted to take the sin of loving an angel more than God (even though it is really the other way around) and fell to Naraku.

As for the reason why Jade fell, it was because of his suspect of God. Jade was one of the higher ranked angel descended from the arch-angels up in heaven (proved by the jewel on his forehead) both as soldier and for intelligence. He suspect that there really is no God at all in heaven (NOTE: This involves Seles' story) and tried to find out. When the Archangels found out what he was doing, they punished him by making him fall.

Killing was not a hard deed for Jade, as he had battle before in heaven, and he knew in order for the both of them to survive, they will have to kill - and not be killed. In the beginning, Sapphirus did not agree on Jade's way of surviving - slaughtering their own kinds (angels) and following Seles. He did not wish to kill and taint his hands, but he eventually complied to it. When Sapphirus killed his first angel, Jade complimented him and it somehow made him happy.

They both became angel hunters and were partners. Ever since his first killing, Sapphirus had tried to do his best to meet up to Jade's expections of him, though Jade never seemed impressed with his work, making him think that he was always doing something wrong. But secretly, Jade had been sneaking out at night to kill angels by himself so that Sapphirus would have to kill less in his part, for he knew how much Sapphirus disliked slaughtering angels. He always returned back to the camp tired.
